What to do when the NHS cannot provide medications

The National Health service is the biggest employer in the United Kingdom and serves the health needs of the British public. However, it is not always possible to get treatment on the NHS since there is a cost element for them too. Some drugs and treatments are so expensive that the money simply has to be spent elsewhere. Cosmetic procedures like Propecia Finasteride farmaco per la calvizie are not offered free of charge on the NHS and must be sourced elsewhere.

If you cannot get the treatment which is necessary to you on the NHS, you may have to consider paying for it yourself via private health organisations and private hospitals. This could cost you quite dearly but sometimes your health has to come first. If you have health insurance then you can often have the cost of private healthcare covered if NHS treatment is not an option. This means you won't have to foot the bill yourself, providing you have cover for the particular treatment in question.

Sometimes, it is an option to travel abroad for your healthcare needs. This is often much more expensive but it is an option if the waiting lists are simply too long. It is often the case that people travel abroad to have dental treatment since the waiting lists do not seem to have an end in the UK. (more...)

improve sexual performance with Pfizer's 100mg little blue pill

There cannot be too many people in today’s modern world who have not heard of Pfizer's 100 mg blue pill. Namely Viagra. Not only have most people heard of the wondrous little treatment, most people are familiar with its backstory. Furthermore, as one of Pfizer’s biggest pharmaceutical sellers, it is clear that the treatment has been taken by many millions of men. And if you believe the stats, the results are impressively high – up to 80% of men report an increase in the size of their erections. This article will explore the benefits of the treatments plus look at some of the alternatives as well as explaing how to improve sexual performance with Pfizer's 100mg little blue pill

But first, in case you were not familiar with the blue pill’s incredible entry in to our collective consciousness, let’s start at the beginning and remind ourselves that the birth of this pill was an accident. An accident you could say that netted its manufacturer a big fat payday allowing it to finance and research a whole load of alternative drug programmes. The real surprise for Pfizer was the discovery that Viagra, originally designed to combat blood pressure issues, had a pleasant side effect. Pleasant that is if you were looking for a harder erection. During trials of the treatment, many men started to report the side effects and Pfizer quickly realized they were onto a winner.

Many people do not realize just how long the treatment has been on the market. Originally launched in the late 1990’s, Pfizer has successfully been able to extend its patent giving it protection over generic copycats. That’s the theory at least. Unfortunately for Pfizer and this is true of a great many other pharmaceutical manufacturers, countries such as India do not recognize western patent laws. As a result, literally hundreds of Indian pharmaceutical manufacturers produce generic copies of Viagra often under brand names such as kamagra and silagra. (more...)

Men unhappy with physical appearance

Recent research carried out by the University of the West of England revealed that many men are unhappy with their physical appearance.

Using an online survey, the researchers from the University obtained responses from around 400 men. These men were questioned about their body and their feelings towards their outward appearance. The survey revealed that as many as 4 in 5 men are unhappy with their body, and almost 35% of men questioned would be willing to trade in a year of their life in order to achieve their ideal body shape and weight.

A more muscular look was top of the list of desires for men unsatisfied by their body, with chest, arms and abdominals being the areas of greatest interest. Many of those surveyed admitted to following high protein diets and taking supplements in order to achieve a more sculpted shape. (more...)

Are Governments Spending More On Pharmaceuticals? Different Case Scenarios

Economic times may be difficult for governments in many different ways, however, when it comes to prescription drugs things may be a little different. Apparently, some governments are increasing their spending on pharmaceuticals by about $180million, seen in the past few years. Last year alone saw about 40 million people buy subsidized medications, some of them from farmacia italiana , which is an increase of 16% from 2008. According to the New Zealand health minister Tony Ryall, this is not because of increased funding that resulted in the wider access to the medication, however it is because of the availability of at least 67 medications that are currently subsidized.

Australian government not mucking with PBS

The Australian government has the largest round of price cuts, in the Australian pharmaceutical benefits history, combined with consistent low expenditure, which means that they do not need any more PBS cuts in the next expected budget; this is what the government says. Additionally, the (MOU) memorandum of understanding signed between the research group, which is medicines Australia, and the Australian government back in 2010 says that they anticipate delivering more than 1.9 billion Australian dollars in savings to the budget’s bottom line, this is what the research group chief executive says.
